The Campus organized and conducted different activities in the campus to encourage and motivate the students. Through such an attempt, not only ‘Soft skill Development’ is taken care off but also students learn organizing skills.
The Campus is implementing the concept of convention of Teachers, Parents, Students and Management to bring them together and deliberate about the overall development and performance of the student, which is a very important activity.
Industrial visits are being organized on regular basis to provide exposure about the internal working of industry, application of technology learned and current work practices. Students get engaged in active learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom. The industrial visits are also helpful in identifying the skill sets required for a successful career in the industry.
On 15th March 2016, industry visit was arranged by Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Management & Entrepreneur Development, Varale for the students of M.B.A. I Year & II Year to Veena Industries Ltd. located at Chakan under the guidance of HOD, Mrs. Anuradha Phadnis Ma’am and Prof. Dr. Khushboo Sahu Ma’am.
This manufacturing unit of Veena Industries Ltd. we had visited, specializes in manufacturing of automotive components like counter weights of excavation equipment. The company established in 1980 by two technocrat entrepreneurs Mr. Shailendra N. Agarwal and Mr.Brijendra N. Agarwalin the year 1980.
The current workforce employed at this unit stands at: 50 Officer Level Executives and 150 workers. Their clients include JCB, CAT, TATA Hitachi, L&T Komatsu, etc.
The visit was scheduled at 11 o’ clock. After the clearance from security, we had assembled in their premises and were offered refreshments. The Executive from Marketing Department had briefed everyone about the company’s profile, the product they manufacture and had given information about use of PPE(s) (Personal Protective Equipment) while on the shop floor during the visit. Our visit to the shop floor was conducted in batches of twelve members where we got an opportunity to see how actually the work on the shop floor is carried out and how stage by stage the processes are of plant adopted was Process Layout.
Zilha Sahakari Dudh Utpadak Sangh Maryadit, Katraj Dairy, Pune.We have visited Katraj Dairy to learn various aspects of Operations Management .In the morning we started from Talegaon & reached at Katraj Dairy at 11.30 am . Where we were headed by Managers of Katraj Dairy .We saw various process as depicted below.
The expert lecture on “Opportunities to Mechanical Engineer in abroad”. The lead speaker of the lecture Mr. P. G. Athawale, who is having great experience in different industry as engineer as well as a manager in Uganda (Africa)as well as in India held on 29th March2017 for Mechanical Engineering Students of Second Year and Third Year.
Campus cultural events are some of the most happening events in the city. The annual fest SAviShkAr was really a charismatic event in all the way and was organized on 1st April 2016. The annual fest was inaugurated by Dr. Vijay Patil and Mr. Nishant Patil was the dignitaries for the prize distribution function.
The fest was attended by more than 200 Students at Varale Campus. Events were Extempore, Debate, GD, Business Quiz & RJ-MBA now come up with the sport events like Box Cricket, volley ball, Chess and Carrom.
All the winners of the competitions were awarded at the evening time as per there competitive achievements. At last students and staff had the dinner on food fest at the college. In the end of the event students rock the floor.

This workshop is useful for measuring systems from GOM are used in stamping, bending, drawing, pressing, and forming process chains to guarantee consistent quality assurance: from determining the sheet metal properties, via accelerating tool-try-out and first article inspection, up to series-accompanying production control and trend analysis.
The event in Pune is part of an international workshop series running at 22 different locations from Asia to America between January and April 2017. The global GOM network established this event series to transfer process-related and metrological knowledge to design engineers, tool makers as well as specialists from research & development, production, and quality assurance around the world.
